  • Increased protein needs: Exercise, especially strength training and other forms of resistance training, can lead to muscle damage. To promote muscle recovery and growth, you need sufficient protein. Protein provides the amino acids needed for muscle building and repair.

  • Increased metabolism: Regular exercise can boost your metabolism, even at rest. This can lead to an increased need for nutrients, including vitamins and minerals, to support your metabolism.
